Turkish-American Youth Academy is a summer school program that we organize with the theme of “Human Rights” in partnership with Ibn Haldun University. We performed the first in the United States between 9-17 July 2017 with the title “New Horizons in Human Rights: Experiences and Challenges”. The aim of the program is to create a platform where Turkish and American youth working in the field of human rights can receive interactive education.
The program in 2017 that 22 participants from Turkey and the United States took place in the Religious Center of America in the state of Maryland. The main speaker of the program was Recep Şentürk, Rector of Ibn Haldun University, and also graduate students made presentations. Following the program, an 11-article declaration was published.
The Turkish-American Youth Academy is planned to continue on different topics every year.
