The Republic of Turkey will be represented at the Y20 Italy Summit by Deniz Ünsal for sustainability, climate change and the environment, Enes Kemal KOŞAR for innovation, digitization and the future of work, İrem GÖL for inclusion.

 | Deniz Unsal graduated from TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in 2015. He received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Law and minor degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University in 2019. For the 2019-2020 academic year, Unsal was selected as a “Jean Monnet scholar” and his postgraduate studies were funded by the European Union (EU) under the framework of “Jean Monnet Scholarship Program”, which is coordinated by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Directorate for EU Affairs. Thereafter, he received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International and Comparative Law from Trinity College Dublin. During his studies, he actively participated in academic conferences held in Irish universities and joined the events organized by Turkish Embassy in Dublin and European Law Students’ Association. He was also elected as a LL.M. student representative at Trinity. He wrote his LL.M. dissertation in accordance with the EU Acquis Chapter 23: “Judiciary and Fundamental Rights” and focused on the free movement rights of Turkish citizens in the EU. Previously, he participated in internship programs in Turkish administrative and judicial bodies as well as think-tank organizations including the Council of State of the Republic of Turkey and Foreign Policy Institute. In addition to his academic studies, Unsal is an op-ed contributor at Anadolu Agency. His opinion pieces and analyses are regularly published in Anadolu Agency’s English Analysis Section and he mostly writes on Turkey-EU relations, Eastern Mediterranean and contemporary debates in Turkish foreign policy. He has a special interest in the Late-Ottoman Era and Early Turkish Republican Period historical developments. Currently, Unsal lives in Ankara, Turkey and he is undertaking his legal internship at Ankara Bar Association. |
| Enes Kemal KOŞAR | Innovation, digitization and the future of work |
 | In 2020, by doing a double major, Enes Kemal Koşar has graduated from Istanbul Medipol University with honors degree in Political Science and International Relations and in English Language Teaching. As a research intern at Sabancı University Istanbul Policy Center (IPC), he has delivered work on policy briefs and book projects and has also prepared a report on France’s controversial anti-separatism law within the context of state ethics and role. In another internship at Education Reform Initiative (ERI), he has conducted two different field studies with a special focus on storytelling data. He has also taken place in a TUBITAK ARDEB 3501 project, being titled as ‘Turkey Scholarship Program and Its Soft Power Potential’, as a project researcher. His first scientific article was published in an international journal within the second year of his undergraduate education. In addition to his academic studies, Enes took part in various non-governmental organizations and produced projects. During his professional debate journey, he has participated in many national and international tournaments and achieved degrees. During the same years, he has also served as a board member at Farabi Talks platform, which brings young entrepreneurs with international experiences. For nearly 3 years, he has been serving as a board member at Science Ambassadors Platform; in aiming to promote and spread the culture of science in Turkey within various summits and projects by introducing the work of Turkish scientists living abroad. By taking part in the planning Tomorrows Education Summit and the Turkish Airlines Science Ambassadors Summit, he has hosted academicians and government officials from different countries in Istanbul. At the same time, as the coordinator of MOR Science Magazine, he obtains a motivation to build an intellectual bridge by providing a common ground for science to reach different segments of the society. He still believes in his desire to turn the world into a more livable place. |

 | İrem Göl received her Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from the Middle East Technical University with high honours. During her studies, she took an undergraduate course at the London School of Economics & Political Science on international journalism. Afterwards, she was awarded her LLM Degree in International Law from the University of Edinburgh. She has experience in working with diplomatic affairs since she worked in foreign embassies based in Ankara. In addition to that, she completed several internships such as the Winter School Program of the Strategic Research Centre at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for European Union Affairs (later incorporated into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Directorate for Political Affairs. She developed her interest in international asylum law while she was doing her internship in the International Organisation for Migration in Ankara. During her studies in Edinburgh, she represented the University of Edinburgh Law School together with her team in the UK rounds of the Jessup Moot Court Competition. Furthermore, she participated in many volunteering organisations actively, in the UK, Germany, Spain and Turkey in many different areas such as environment, refugee rights, discrimination and human rights. Also, she has experience in journalism, and she has published opinion columns in various online and printed newspapers in Turkish, English, and Spanish. Currently, she works in the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants in Ankara as a project assistant where she continues to work especially in the social cohesion of the refugee community residing in Turkey. In addition to her excellent command of Turkish, English, and Spanish, she has an intermediate level of French. |
